Hi there! I'm Terri.

I am a registered dietitian and the founder of The Daily Grind Nutrition. I specialize in nutrition therapy for brain health and mental wellness, but my true passion lies in helping women manage their anxiety and depression symptoms with food and nutrition so they have the energy and mental clarity to embrace their 'daily grind' with confidence.

After more than a decade of studying and working in the field of nutrition, I have established a fascination with the various ways food can impact the human body, including the brain. I am particularly interested in the emerging evidence to support the positive impact food and nutrition can have on cognition, behavior, and emotions.

Drawing on the evidence to date, my professional background, and personal experiences living with mental illness, I meet my clients where they are in their mental health journey and guide them in the discovery of their personal food-mood connection. I work with my clients to establish a course of action that will both improve their symptoms and work with their lifestyle while supporting them every step of the way.

I strongly believe that good mental health is a journey, not a destination. However, having the right tools, resources, and supports for that journey makes the trip much more enjoyable.

Professional Qualifications

I received a Bachelor (2013) and Master (2019) of Science degree in Human Nutrition from Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where I also completed an accredited Internship Program and defended my Master's Thesis.

Currently, I am licensed with the Nova Scotia Dietetic Association and am an active member of the Dietitians Network of Nova Scotia and Dietitians of Canada (DC). Through DC I am also a member of the Consulting Dietitians Network, as well as the Addiction, Mental health, and Eating disorder network.

When I'm not talking about nutrition, you can find me experimenting in the kitchen, exploring our Nova Scotian trails with my significant other, curled up with a good book, binge-watching a sitcom, or bugging my two cats!

Let's work together!
