Hi there! I'm Terri.

I am a registered dietitian (RD) and the founder of The Daily Grind Nutrition. I specialize in nutrition therapy for brain health and mental wellness, but my true passion lies in helping women manage their anxiety, depression, and ADHD symptoms with food and nutrition so they have the energy and mental clarity to embrace their 'daily grind' with confidence.

After more than a decade of studying and working in the field of nutrition, and many years spent living with poor mental health and ADHD myself, I have established a fascination with the bi-directional relationship between food and mental wellness. There is a growing body of evidence-based scientific research that has shown that not only can the food we eat impact our mental health, but our mental health, as well as behavioral and mood disorders, such as ADHD can also influence the food we eat.

I meet my clients where they are on their journey and support them in navigating their nutritional concerns and food-mood connections. Together, we can map out a personalized action plan to help you achieve your health goals and thrive in your 'daily grind'.

I strongly believe that good mental health is a journey, not a destination. However, having the right tools, resources, and support for that journey makes the trip much more enjoyable.

Professional Qualifications

I received a Bachelor (2013) and Master (2019) of Science degree in Human Nutrition from Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where I also completed an accredited Internship Program and defended my Master's Thesis.

I have been practicing as a registered dietitian for 4 years and am licensed with the Nova Scotia College of Dietitians and Nutritionists.  I am on the core committee of the Dietitians Network of Nova Scotia and am a member of Dietitians of Canada (DC). Through DC I am also an affiliate of the Consulting Dietitians Network, as well as the Addiction, Mental health, and Eating disorder network.

Fun Facts

In addition to being an RD, I am a wife and a new-ish mom! When I'm not talking about nutrition, you can find me experimenting in the kitchen, exploring our Nova Scotian trails and coffee shops with my family, curled up with a good book, binge-watching a sitcom, or playing with my two rescue cats, Java and Bean.
